Best Time of Year for Window Cleaning in DFW
Every season in DFW brings a different reason to clean your windows. Here's how to think about timing.
Spring: the heaviest cleaning month
Late February through April brings DFW's biggest pollen waves — cedar, oak, ash, pecan. Pollen is gritty and it scratches if you wipe dry, which is why spring cleaning by a pro (with the right water and tools) is one of the best investments you can make.
Summer: hard water season
Heat plus sprinklers equals mineral spotting. Summer cleanings catch this before deposits etch in permanently. Bonus: clean windows feel cooler because they let less heat-distorted light through.
Fall: prep for the holidays
October and November are our busiest months — homeowners want sparkling windows for fall light, family photos, and holiday gatherings. Schedule early; calendars fill up.
Winter: surprisingly ideal
Mild DFW winters mean we work year-round. Many homeowners don't realize January and February are excellent times to clean — schedules are open, the low sun shows every flaw (so we catch more), and you start the year on a clean note.
Worst time? Right before rain
Contrary to myth, rain on cleaned windows doesn't leave streaks unless the windows weren't actually clean. Clean glass sheds water cleanly. That said, scheduling around a dust storm makes more sense than scheduling around weather.
